Millbrook Carillon No. 12, in C

The smallest of the same 48-bell instrument's three chromatic octaves.

At the opposite end of the same carillon from the bourdon, bell No. 12 is barely a third of a metre across and weighs 22kg — small enough that a carillon’s smallest bells are sometimes cast several at a time from a single crucible pour, though each is still tuned individually on the lathe.

Together with 46 sibling bells, it lets the Millbrook instrument play fully chromatically across four octaves from a mechanical keyboard console in the chapel tower.
