Thornfield’s prior wanted a genuine eight-bell ring rather than the more common six, to support the fuller change-ringing methods an eight allows. All eight bells were designed, cast, and tuned as a single coordinated project across 2024, and the ring was formally dedicated with the priory’s first full peal that autumn.
