The largest single commission in the foundry’s history — 48 bells, from a 2.6-tonne bourdon down to bells small enough to hold in one hand, all tuned to a shared chromatic standard so the instrument plays cleanly across four full octaves. The carillon is played most days from a mechanical baton keyboard in the chapel tower, and the foundry returns annually to re-check tuning.
