Wren’s Cross Sanctus Bell, in E

A small fixed altar bell, the foundry's smallest current casting.

Sanctus bells are struck by hand at a fixed point in the liturgy rather than rung on a rope or wheel, so the casting and mounting brief is different from every other bell the foundry makes — no headstock, no wheel, just a small fixed bracket and a clear, bright, unmistakable strike.

At 260mm and 11kg it is the smallest bell currently in the foundry’s records, cast in a single small loam mould and tuned in under a day.
